The final 16 teams for the 2025/26 Champions League have been confirmed, and the draw for the knockout stage has been completed.

Without further ado, read on as we look at the line-up for the last-16 before offering up 16 things every Champions League fan should know.

Paris Saint-Germain vs Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain had played 104 consecutive Champions League matches without featuring in a 0-0 draw before their stalemate at Athletic Club in the group stage.

Chelsea became the first team in Champions League history to have three teenagers score in the same match when Marc Guiu, Estevao and Tyrique George netted against Ajax.

Prediction: PSG to progress.

Galatasaray vs Liverpool

Galatasaray have reached the knockout stage for the first time since the 2013/14 season.

Liverpool scored their 500th goal in the competition when they were demolished 4-1 by PSV Eindhoven at Anfield on Matchday 5.

Real Madrid vs Manchester City

Kylian Mbappe scored the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history for Real Madrid against Olympiacos, achieving the feat in six minutes and 42 seconds.

Manchester City star Erling Braut Haaland has scored ten goals in ten appearances against Spanish clubs in the Champions League proper.

Atalanta vs Bayern Munich

Atalanta are the second-half kings. Eleven of the 14 goals they scored on their way to the last-16 were after the break in their games.

Joshua Kimmich made his 100th Champions League outing for Bayern against PSG on Matchday 4, joining Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Philipp Lahm and Oliver Kahn on the list.

Newcastle United vs Barcelona

Newcastle have lost only four of their last 36 European matches at St James’ Park (W25, D7).

Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Olympiacos on Matchday 3 was the first time they had scored six goals since beating PSG by the same scoreline in 2017.

Atletico Madrid vs Tottenham Hotspur

Antoine Griezmann’s goal against Eintracht Frankfurt marked the 12th consecutive season he has scored in the Champions League.

Tottenham are unbeaten in their last 24 home European matches (W20, D4). They won their four home games in the group stage without conceding a goal.

Bodo/Glimt became the first Norwegian team to win a knockout tie in the competition proper when they defeated Inter Milan in the play-offs.

Sporting CP have lost only two of their last 13 European matches at home (W8, D3).

Bayer Leverkusen vs Arsenal

Bayer Leverkusen recorded their 50th victory in the competition when they beat Manchester City 2-0 on Matchday 5.

Arsenal became the first team to win seven consecutive matches against La Liga clubs in the competition when they beat Atletico 4-0 on Matchday 3.

Prediction: Arsenal to progress.
