2025-26 Ligue 1 Points Table

The new season of the French Football Tournament 2025-26 Ligue 1 is organised by the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP). The 2025-26 Ligue 1, also known as Ligue 1 McDonald’s, marks the 88th season of the French Ligue 1 tournament.

The top of the French football league system, French Ligue 1, is one of the top five leagues in the Most Entertaining Leagues in Football. Paris Saint-Germain (13 titles) is one of the most successful teams in the French Ligue 1 and has been the champion for four consecutive seasons. They are also the defending Champions League winners, having claimed their first UEFA Champions League title in May 2025 and runner-up of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

18 teams are participating in the tournament: 17 from French clubs and 1 from the Monaco Club. Currently, PSG is the most successful team in France’s Ligue 1. Ligue 1 is one of the top national leagues and is ranked as the 5th best football league in Europe, following the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, and the Bundesliga.

Lorient, Paris FC, and Metz were promoted from the 2024-25 Ligue 2, and Montpellier, Saint-Étienne, and Reims are out for the current season.

Paris Saint-Germain FC (PSG) have won a record 13 Ligue 1 titles, showcasing its dominance in the league. Luis Enrique leads PSG as manager after guiding them to an unprecedented treble in 2024-25 season, including their maiden Champions League triumph. The season begins on August 15, 2025 and concludes on May 16, 2026.
