Real Madrid have made a decision on the futures of young strikers Gonzalo Garcia and Endrick ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Madrid are ready to sell Garcia this summer, potentially allowing the young striker to get more game time away from the club.
It now remains to be seen whether they will insert a buy-back clause in the deal, giving them control over his future.
Madrid did the same with Nico Paz, who is thriving at Italian side Como. The Argentine is now being linked with a return to the club.
Garcia signed a new contract in August after impressing at the FIFA Club World Cup where he finished as the top scorer.
However, the 22-year-old has started just 10 games. Garcia has made 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring six goals.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior are the preferred first-choice strikers, reducing Garcia’s game time.
With Garcia’s departure, Endrick is now expected to stay at Madrid next season, ending doubts over his future with the Spanish giants.
The Brazilian joined French side Lyon in January on a loan deal after struggling for minutes in the first half of the season at Madrid, featuring in just three games.
Endrick has impressed at Lyon, tallying 12 goal involvements in 16 appearances for them.
The 19-year-old is still expected to play a back-up role to Mbappe or Vinicius next season unless there is a change of tactical approach.
Endrick is rated as one of the best youngsters in world football, and Madrid will hope his loan spell at Lyon will help him achieve his full potential at the club.
